Moving Average Framework Intensive

Six live sessions that turn habit-based averages into a written framework for period choice, crossovers, and confirmation.

Moving Average Framework Intensive

Who this intensive is for

This flagship programme suits traders who already place moving averages on their charts yet still change period lengths mid-trade, chase every crossover, or cannot explain why a 9/21 pair belongs on a daily swing plan. You should be comfortable reading candlesticks and naming your typical holding period.

It is not an introduction to “what is a moving average,” and it is not a signal service. We do not place orders for you or recommend individual securities.

What you leave with

By the final session you hold a one-page framework covering:

  • Which average family (simple, exponential, or weighted) you will use on each timeframe you trade
  • Period lengths tied to your holding horizon, not to a popular screenshot
  • A crossover filter that states when a cross is ignored
  • A confirmation sequence that includes slope and price structure before any long or short note

Homework between sessions uses your own watchlist. We review annotated charts — ASX names, FX pairs, or index futures — so the rules meet Australian session timing.

What is included

  • Six facilitated sessions with chart walkthroughs and peer review
  • A printed and digital workbook for period experiments
  • Written feedback on two homework chart packs
  • Access to the open-bell study circle for four weeks after graduation

What is excluded

Market calls, copy-trading arrangements, brokerage introductions, and software licences. You bring whatever charting package you already use.

How the six weeks run

  1. Inventory — map every average on your templates and why it is there.
  2. Lag laboratory — compare SMA, EMA, and WMA on identical price stretches.
  3. Period contracts — lock lengths to holding horizons; discard orphaned lines.
  4. Crossover discipline — write filters for false crosses during chop.
  5. Confirmation sequence — join slope, pullbacks, and structure into one checklist.
  6. Live stress test — apply the full framework to the prior fortnight’s charts.

Preparation

Bring three months of charts from markets you actually trade, with your current averages visible. Note two trades you still regret and two you would repeat. Sessions start on Australian Western Standard Time unless the cohort agrees otherwise.

Next step

Enquire with your markets, holding style, and preferred start month. Places are limited to eight participants per cohort so chart review stays useful.
